Little kids

Why is it wherever we go, there is some little kid or kids that want to join our group? Here's the situation... Me, Freund, Adam, Alex and Geo went camping over the weekend up in Wisconsin. On Saturday morning it was really hot, so we went down to the beach to go swimming. We brought a frisbee and a ball that we were throwing around while in the water. There was this kid in a life preserver (probably about 6 or 7 years old) who was determined to play with us. We didn't want to play with him, our game was getting kinda rough, jumping around, tackling each other. So the kid sat there in the water and said "can I play with you guys?" "can I play with you guys?" "can I play with you guys?" He said it over and over again as we were playing. We ignored him, and he continued. He must have said it 30 or 40 times. I felt bad for ignoring him, but we didn't know this kid, and we didn't want to play with him. There were tons of other kids on the beach his age that he could have played with, why does he have to play with the 24 year olds? Are we really that fun?

Apparently we are, because we swam later in the day and played the same game. Yet again there was some other kid that kept trying to get us to throw the ball in his direction. The situation we encountered at the beach that day isn't the first time that something like this has happened. When we went to the corn maze last year, there was a group of kids that were lost and insisted on joining our group to get through the maze. And they were really slow and annoying.

Anyways, the camping trip was fun. Highlights included our hot strenuous 6 mile hike, smoking cigars underneath a hanging tarp during a thunderstorm, and a game to see who gets the burnt cinnamon roll. The weather was pretty hot the entire trip (in the 90's) and on Saturday night it poured rain so we had limited time by the campfire. Even Geo's luxurious tent couldn't keep all the water out, so some things got a little wet, but it wasn't too bad.
