Libertyville Loot Fest
Friday, April 7, 2006 at 11:41AM Today, I had my shortest commute to work since I started working at Comcast (15 minutes). I offered to help clean out the Libertyville Access Studio, which hasn't been used in years. The building was also used as a customer service center, but now is nothing but vancant office space. The only thing that really goes on there is playback for 2 city channels. It would be weird to work there. And pretty boring. Anyways, much of the equipment and furniture was old and crappy, so we threw a lot of stuff out. But there were some things worth saving. One thing I like about doing these studio clean outs is getting to rummage through everything and claim stuff for your own studio. I guess it's kinda what it feels like to be a looter. However, I did not get to break in the front window with a bat and/or cinder block. I managed to loot some barn doors and gel holders for my portable lights, some cable reels, and a Sony edit controller. Fantastic.

I am incredibly jealous of your 15-minute commute.
