World's Largest Driftwood

Yesterday it was hot and a perfect day for swimming at the beach. So it off to Lake Michigan to swim...at Illinois Beach State Park. The sand was so hot that it almost burnt your feet, but the cold lake water quickly extinguished the flames. While sitting on the beach, me and Adam gathered 12 white stones and 12 black stones, drew a checkerboard in the sand and played a game of checkers. If we ever end up on a deserted island, we now know how to pass the time.

Later on in the day, I noticed sometime floating off the beach. It looked to be like a piece of driftwood. Me and Freund swam out to it and discovered its massive size. It basically a tree trunk floating in the water. We started pulling it back to shore. I sat up on it and rode it part of the way. This got the attention of many beach-goers in the area. We got it all the way to the shoreline. I wanted to lift it up long ways to reveal it's massive size. Even with me, Freund, and some other random little kids, we couldn't get it very high up off the ground. We got a picture with it and declared it the World's Largest Driftwood. We then pushed it back out in the water where it became the highlight for kids all around.
