Browsing through people's profiles on MySpace, there are many times when I say to myself, "What the hell were they thinking?" I am, of course, referring to the look of their page. Some, so bad, that I refuse to even look at it and immediately press the Back button on my web browser. The look of an individuals MySpace page is highly customizable. This is good because it lets everyone express themselves and make their page different than everyone else's. This is bad because the result is some of the most horrendous pages I have ever lied eyes on. Here are some things I've come across in people's profiles:
-Ugly color schemes.
-Distracting background images.
-Text that is the same color as the background color, deeming it unreadable.
-Text with horizontal lines slashed through it.
-Text in a script font so delicate that it takes 10 seconds to read each word.
-Buttons that aren't visible (like the Add to Friends button) so you have to guess where the button is.
-Entire pages that are semi-transparent so that the text, pictures, and everything else is fading into the background, making it very unpleasant to look at.
-Pages so wide that you can't even view the width of the page in 1280 resolution.
-People that don't understand that full resolution pictures just don't fit in a column.
-People that post a picture of them and their 4 friends with the dimensions 50x35. What the hell is the point? All I see are 4 little blobs.
-Various videos and animations all simultaneously playing in different columns and different windows of different sizes. I've never seen anything so distracting.

Other Thoughts on MySpace:
-Listening to your own music (like on iTunes, for example) while browsing MySpace profiles is nearly impossible.
-There should be one area for "Bulletins" and a separate area for "Surveys" (Hint: Please tone it down on all the surveys, for God's sake!)
-To the people who change their MySpace name on a weekly basis, please stop. It confuses me when I log on and I see "Smiley" in my list of friends. I say "Who the hell is smiley? They aren't my friend!" I soon realize who it is, but I'm irritated by the confusion.
