Valentine's Day
Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 3:05PM I sent flowers to Blockbuster on Tuesday, which Colleen loved. On Wednesday, instead of going out, we decided to stay in. I had to work that morning, but Colleen had off amazingly. She was going to attempt to cook dinner for me. When I arrived home around 5:30-ish, the apartment smelled great. This was a fantasy of mineā¦to come home from a long day of work and there is tasty food cooked and ready to be eaten. It's never happened before, but this day, it did.
First, we ate a salad with my favorite Ceasar dressing. I was surprised that Colleen cooked a meat dish, which was chicken breast crusted with a Parmesan and Italian seasoning mixture. It was great. She also attempted to cook cheesy scalloped potatoes, which, unfortunately, did not turn out great. She did not boil the potatoes first, so even after baking for a while, they were very hard. She was so upset over it, but I told her that it was okay and at least she tried. Luckily we had some boxed cheesy potatoes that we whipped up real quick.
For dessert we had warm, homemade heart-shaped brownies with vanilla ice cream. It was a fantastic dinner. Colleen also bought me a gift. She got me a massager chair. I love it.
